Googlephone-Spekulationen

Bei Techcrunch spekuliert man wieder einmal über das Googlephone. Die neuen Gerüchte hat man von Twitter, wo Google-Mitarbeiter bzw. Bekannte von Googlern darüber berichten, dass viele Mitarbeiter ein von HTC gebautes und auf Android 2.1 laufendes Googlephone bekommen haben. Angeblich solle das Gerät bereits im Januar rauskommen.

Leslie Hawthorn (Google Program Manager) schreibt:

Stuck in mass of traffic leaving work post last all hands of 2009. ZOMG we had fireworks and we all got the new Google phone. It’s beautiful.

Jason Howell:

The new Google Phone runs on HTC hardware. I saw it w/ Android 2.1. Homescreen has new visual enhancements like animated desktop wallpaper.

Und noch einer:

A friend from Google showed me the new Android 2.1 phone from HTC coming out in Jan. A sexy beast. Like an iPhone on beautifying steroids.

Ich kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass das Handy wirklich Googlephone heißen wird. Eher erwarte ich das Google wieder intensiv am Handy mitgearbeitet hat, es letztlich aber doch als HTC-Handy rauskommen wird. Warten wir es ab!
