HTC-CEO nennt in internem Memo mehrere Bereiche für notwendige Verbesserungen

HTC Peter Chou hat sich mit einem Memo an die Mitarbeiter gewandt. Hier nennt er einige Bereiche in denen man sich verbessern muss und will. Er sagt das HTC sich “verlangsamt hat” (slowed down), aber die Mitarbeiter sich nicht von beeinflußen lassen sollen. Das komplette Memo gibt es beim Wall Street Journal. Do not be influenced by noises from the market and the industry. We are a strong player in the market and we are just having short-term challenges.

Please make sure that we kill bureaucracy. Make sure [that] we are doing the right thing quick and make it work

HTC used to be a company where we did things quick and reacted quick. However, the fast growth from the last 2 years has slowed us down. [...] We agreed to do something, but we either didn’t do it, or executed it loosely.

Our competitors can leverage their scale, brand awareness and big marketing budget to do things which HTC could not do. The fast growth from the last two years has slowed us down.

Eine HTC-Sprecherin hat das Memo bestätigt. Es solle die Moral verbessern. Nach einigen schlechten Nachrichten sowie Entlassungen ist eine Verbesserung des Betriesklimas sicherlich nicht schädlich. [via TheVerge]
