LG – Highend-Smartphones erhalten Update auf Android 4.0 Ice Cream SAndwich

LG hat sich aktuell noch einmal zu den Updateplänen für Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich geäußert. Wieder über Facebook:

LG firmly denies the rumors that claim LG will not be providing the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS update for the LG Optimus 2X. These rumors are NOT true. LG is currently in the process of planning the ICS OS update for the LG Optimus 2X as well as other LG high-end smartphones. Detailed information on the ICS OS update schedule for specific models will be announced, once the ICS OS is publicly released by Google. Please stay tuned for more updates from LG.

Nun stammte auch die erste Meldung über keine kommenden ICS-Update von LG und Facebook. Gerüchte waren das nicht. Allerdings war der Beitrag auch relativ schnell wieder gelöscht und stammte wohl von LG Indien.

Angesichts dieser Stellungnahme gehen wird mal davon aus, dass das LG Optimus Speed und LG Optimus 3D Updates auf Ice Cream Sandwich erhalten. Ob man das LG Optimus Black auch als Highend einschätzt, bleibt abzuwarten.
